The sky is smiling

:

Use your mouse to move the image up a little in the frame to see the smile. It looks like an upside down rainbow-an "un-rainbow".
Scroll down to see it full size.

Solar halo

It's rare that stepping out of your front door you see something you've never seen before. This turned out to be a "solar halo" - a phenomenon apparently caused by sunlight cascading through ice particles very high in the sky.
A frozen rainbow perhaps. But my kids preferred to call it a sky smile.

Demo of online photo/art gallery built with Beta Blogger

Thanks for visiting this demo gallery and exploring the many capabilities of Beta Blogger!

Set up

  • For this demo we grouped pictures in individual "blog posts" and configured the navigation to reflect new additions, older pieces and "collections" (categories).
  • Slideshows and image enlargements can be included in the "posts".

    Highlights

  • On this page, we used the left column to highlight individual photos with a Lytebox enlargement instead of ads.
  • Images are used to add interest to the category navigation.
  • We also demonstrate how video can be incorporated right into a post. OL filters video embed tags out of business apps, but on request we can provide a javascript snippet with the PREMIUM package, that will allow you to add video to your posts.
  • We also removed the author/date lines which aren't needed in a gallery layout.
Photographer or other artist-casual or pro-Beta Blogger can make it easier to add personality and organization to your work and your site. Enjoy!
